How it Works
The Trail Tamer wheel assembly attaches to the back of the frame of the pontoon boat at the same location where the anchor frame attaches. If you are transporting your boat into a lake and need to use your anchor system, you can still use it, even with the wheel assembly attached!
Materials and Construction
The wheel assembly frame is manufactured from high quality 6000 series marine grade aluminum. After the components are cut and formed, they are anodized to prevent corrosion and guarantee years of trouble free use. The anodized finish is protected from wear with nylon washers that are bonded to the wheel assy frame to prevent metal on metal contact while the wheel assembly is in use.
Mounting the Trail Tamer Wheel Assembly
Attaching the wheel assembly to your boat is easy. You simply pull the pins and disconnect the anchor frame, slide one wheel assembly bracket on each side of the anchor frame, reinstall the anchor frame, slide the wheel assembly frame on to each side of the boat frame, and install the new pins that are supplied with the wheel assembly. When you are ready to get on the water, you pull two pins, rotate the wheel assembly up so it is out of the water, and reinsert the pins. When you are on the water, your wheel assembly is still attached to your boat and out of the way, and you have full use of your anchor system.
